about

About Isaac Levine:
Isaac's an Ann Arbor-based student texture-emitter in his salad days building instruments and recording albums so that one day he might not suck at both. His music is as influenced by songwriters such as Kevin Barnes and Elliott Smith as it is by the noise you hear when you turn the knob between two radio stations and just here the noise with intermittent stabs of programmatic content.

About "I Didn't Have Dreams":
"I didn't have dreams until I started sleeping is about the first period in my life where I haven't been sleep-deprived, a transition that has been marred by the reconciliation of my tired generalizations against the truths of sober reality. The information received from my dreams now that I really sleep is often more disturbing and revealing than the manic fantasies conceived in trying to do too much while sleeping too little, and having visions while awake. This has prompted a shift in behavior towards my responses to visions and beliefs and this album is an exploration of that change."
